The emblem of the School includes:
- The symbols of the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Threat are the main scientific subjects dealt with by the School.
- Representation of the atom with the rotational path of the electrons, directly linked to the radiological threat.
- The complex of the helmet, anchor and fins, symbolizing the three Branches of the Armed Forces (due to the interdisciplinary nature of the School).
- The name of the School in yellow tape.
- The predominant color is red, which represents the Army.
It is inscribed with the saying of the Ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus “EVERYTHING FLOWS”, which means that everything flows, is fluid, changes and nothing stays fixed, like the perpetual movement inside the atom and by extension in matter. Heraclitus was an ancient philosopher and he is considered to be the Forerunner of Physical sciences. He lived in the city of Ephesus around 500 BC.
